and Ritual And Form
2013

In November, 2013, Lindsay August-Salazar and I created a performance for The Stand-in, or A Glass of Milk, a three-part exhibition curated by Lauren Mackler and Alexandra Gaty at Public Fiction in Los Angeles. Lindsay cleansed the space with palo santo, after which she and two other dancers moved around the objects in the show using a vocabulary of forms she developed. I then entered to perform a song poem I wrote called “I know why you came here” and wind a long thin piece of elastic around the dense audience.

We collaborated on images for the publication produced by Public Fiction the following year.
